This Crazy World

It seems the more I see this world and look around me, the more I just want to escape and run away. The world seems to have gone completely mad.
Perhaps thats why the calm serene way of the Amish life is so appealing to me.
They are not bombarded with  so much information that it just makes your head spin.

Now I'm not into social media at all and I stay away from the Television.
I don't read newspapers or magazines (unless they are craft or sewing ones) and yet I still feel overloaded with  stuff coming in at me. I probably don't get nearly as much information thrown at me as  those who live on facebook and Twitter.

I couldn't care a less at what all the movie stars are doing.
Most of them lead very shallow sinful lives.
But this world seems determined to  get this information  into my head one way or another.
No matter how hard I try to keep unwanted information out of my brain,  through countless  subtle ways it just seeps in and then I'm stuck with it.

For example...I  go to the supermarket and there is all the gutter trash magazines pretending to be  repectable  and reliable information, right next to the check out.
They have all their gossip in big lettering on the front page of the magazines blaring out at me, and it can't be avoided as I have to go through the checkout to pay for my food.
This information filters into my brain by just glancing at the magazines for a second as I pass by. Now I'm stuck with  information I don't want or couldnt care a less about. AURGH!!!!

I just want to tell the world to go away!!!!
Do others feel like this too? Maybe its just me.
Perhaps if these magazines wrote the truth once in a while, but they never do.
I can't count how many times these magazines  said that Princess kate was pregnant, before she really was. Why is the world so obsessed with movie stars and fad diets and sex?
Am I the only one who isn't interested in all this  rediculous shallow nonsense?

The Bible says  that the wisdon of the world is foolishness. Oh boy is that ever true.
Charlotte Mason would have called it all Twaddle and she would be right.
Gods word  tells us to live quiet peaceful lives, minding our own business... and thats all I want. Don't you?
A peaceful life pottering around my house and my little garden, oblivious to what the world is doing.
I think I would have liked the world when we  lived in our own country and  we had no other information about the rest of the world.
So the battle is on.... Me verses the world. I vow to not let any information about rediculous things get into my head, AND the world vows to pump as much rubbish into my brain as it can.
Lets see who wins ...
